ON THE QUANTUM AND DIPLOMACY IN ROME

On December 17th, Rome hosted the “Stati Generali delle Tecnologie Quantistiche,” a high-level meeting bringing together government institutions, academia, and industry leaders.

The event marked the transition to the implementation phase of the Italian National Strategy for Quantum Technologies. Its primary goal was to strengthen Italy’s scientific and industrial ecosystem by merging top-tier expertise to drive national innovation. Within this framework, Mimit (the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) aims to play a leading role in supporting domestic businesses and ensuring technological progress.

Among the participants, we highlight the presence of Professor Simone Montangero, from the University of Padova, and Diego Brasioli, Diplomat and public manager, former Special Envoy of the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cybersecurity and Head of the Unit for Technological Innovation and Cybersecurity at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
