The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) has announced that the 5th edition of World Scientific Francophonie Week (SMFS) will be held in Dakar (Senegal) from 5 to 7 November 2025. The event will be divided into two main parts: the 5th International Conference on Scientific Francophonie and the 5th Francophone Ministerial Conference, which will be attended by ministers responsible for higher education and research.

The previous AUF event, which was also attended by Prof. David Burigana of the University of Padua, brought together 22 experts who spoke, along with 110 participants in person and over 400 participants connected online.
